Prevention
One of the keys to ending homelessness is prevention. Case managers at Father Bill’s & MainSpring (FBMS) are trained to provide early intervention to at-risk families and individuals who are experiencing housing problems, often stopping homelessness before it can occur. In addition, we established Tenancy Preservation Program (TPP), an innovative program designed to prevent homelessness for the disabled.

Tenancy Preservation Program
Through Father Bill’s & MainSpring's Tenancy Preservation Program (TPP), we work to prevent someone from becoming homeless. TPP was started in response to the large number of people who were being evicted due to disabilities. Tenants with physical or mental disabilities present unique issues for property owners. Our TPP specialists work to resolve the issues that cause someone to become at risk for losing their tenancy.
With TPP, we facilitate discussions between the tenant and property owner with the ultimate goal of keeping tenants in their residence. We begin by connecting tenants with services to eliminate the problem behavior and offer stabilization services to ensure the behaviors don't return.
